Copyright and Takedown Policy
Last updated: October 24, 2026
FlowProofs respects copyright and expects its users to. People can upload images and files to their canvases and share them by link, so if something there infringes your rights, this page explains how to have it taken down.
1. Reporting infringement
Send a written notice to our designated agent (below), by email to copyright@flowproofs.com or by post. This process follows the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512) and India’s Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, and we use it for complaints from anywhere.
2. What a notice must include
- Your physical or electronic signature (typing your full name is enough by email).
- The copyrighted work you say is infringed (or a list, if there are several).
- Where the infringing material is: the shared link (for example
flowproofs.com/s/…), and which image, file or block, so we can find it. - Your name, postal address, phone number and email address.
- A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act for the owner.
Knowingly false claims can make you liable for damages (17 U.S.C. § 512(f)). If you are not sure whether something infringes, take advice first.
3. Our designated agent
| Detail | Value |
|---|---|
| Name | not yet published |
| Address | not yet published |
| copyright@flowproofs.com | |
| Phone | not yet published |
| US Copyright Office registration | not yet published |
Until the agent’s registration is published here, send notices by email; they are handled the same way.
4. What happens next
- We acknowledge your complaint within 24 hours and resolve it within 15 days, as India’s IT Rules require. We act faster on clear cases.
- If the notice is complete, we remove or disable access to the material and keep a record of what was taken down and why.
- We tell the account holder, with a copy of the notice (your contact details included, as the law expects), so they can respond.
- If the notice is incomplete, we tell you what is missing.
5. Counter-notices
If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake or that you have the right to use it, send a counter-notice with:
- your physical or electronic signature
- what was removed and where it was before
- a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification
- your name, address and phone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your district (or, outside the US, any judicial district where we may be found) and will accept service from the person who sent the notice
We forward it to the person who complained. Unless they tell us within 10 to 14 business days that they have started a court action, we may restore the material.
6. Repeat infringers
We close the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe. An account that receives three valid notices (not withdrawn or successfully countered) is closed, and we may close one sooner for a serious case. Closed accounts may not be reopened.
7. Other complaints about content
For anything else unlawful or harmful in shared content, write to abuse@flowproofs.com. Our Grievance Officer, not yet published, can be reached at privacy@flowproofs.com, on the same timelines.
