What's new in FlowProofs.

October 2026

  • Theme: a new dark mode in calm neutral greys (modelled on VS Code), System, Light or Dark in Settings → Appearance or from the sidebar, kept on your account; arrows and outlines on the canvas, charts, templates and share links all follow it, and exported pictures stay light unless you choose dark
  • Samples and templates open almost at once: the canvas appears straight away and a sample's numbers fill in while you look
  • Visuals: computed columns work as fields like any other, a table can group by up to three fields, blocks snap to alignment guides while you drag, Explain on a visual finds (or makes) the number behind it, the visual chooser recommends a first chart from your data, and clicking a chart on a share link filters the others
  • Charts: 22 types, including stacked and 100% stacked, combo with a second axis, scatter, waterfall, funnel, KPI card, bullet, sparkline, matrix, heatmap and histogram; several values, a series field and small multiples on one chart
  • Chart settings in Data, Format and Analytics tabs, with a search box, an on/off switch on sections like the legend, and a reset per section: quick styles (including Hand-drawn), title tokens, full axis control, data labels, highlight and conditional colours, reference and target lines, bands, trend lines, seasonal forecasts, notes and change since Compare to
  • Canvas themes (and your own brand theme, as JSON), a format painter, alignment guides and snapping, cross-filtering every data block from a chart, drill-down by right-click, and PNG export
  • Charts now sort numbers and dates in order and bars by value, count identifier columns instead of adding them up, and look the same on share links, in Present, in print and in PNGs
  • Explain a change: set Compare to (last month, last year, a snapshot or a target), and every number shows how it moved and why, as a bridge whose bars add up to the change
  • Where it happened (the region or channel behind a change) and whether a change is unusual for that number
  • A "Why did revenue change?" sample to try it on
  • Present and Share are now one place each: Slides, Story and Meeting live under Present; view links, client view and the summary live under Share.
  • Data tables you can edit, with computed columns like = Units * [Unit Price], filters, and undo
  • Filters on any number: click it, pick a column, and the value recalculates
  • Canvas-wide filters in a bar at the top of the canvas
  • A Format panel for fill, borders, shadows, text and number display
  • A Details panel that shows where a selected number comes from, its formula, filters and connections
  • Alerts on any number on the canvas, from the right-click menu
  • Unsaved work is kept in the browser and restored after a refresh
  • Minimap moved to the bottom-left, with a button to hide it
