1. Our aim
We want everyone to be able to read and explain their numbers with FlowProofs. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, the level the European Accessibility Act’s standard (EN 301 549) uses, across the website, the app and shared links, and we test against the newer WCAG 2.2 AA rules too. We do not meet it everywhere yet: the limitations we know about are listed below, rather than claiming full conformance. This statement is our partial conformance statement.
2. What we do
- Text and controls meet the WCAG AA contrast ratios, in light and dark themes.
- Every page and dialog can be used with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline.
- Pages use real headings, landmarks and labelled form fields, so screen readers can find their way.
- Animations respect your system’s reduced-motion setting.
- Shared canvases can be read on a phone as a simple list of numbers.
- Charts and diagrams have text alternatives; explanations are written out as sentences, not only drawn.
3. How we test
We check with the axe accessibility engine on the home page, pricing, a blog post, the contact form, sign-up, the dashboard, a canvas, a shared link, settings, the legal pages and the error page, in light and dark themes, and we work through the main tasks with the keyboard alone. The last full check was on October 24, 2026. Automated tools catch only part of what matters, so reports from people who use assistive technology are especially welcome.
4. Known limitations
- Moving and resizing blocks on a canvas needs a mouse, trackpad or touch. With the keyboard you can find and open any block (Ctrl or Cmd + F), edit it and use every panel, but not drag it to a new position.
- Arrows between blocks are drawn, not described: a screen reader hears each block, but not which ones are connected. The Explain panel lists what each number is made of as text.
- Freehand drawings, shapes and diagrams on a canvas have no text alternative unless the author adds a label.
- Imported PDFs and spreadsheets are only as accessible as the files themselves.
We are working on these. This page will change as they are fixed.
5. Tell us about a barrier
If something in FlowProofs is hard or impossible for you to use, write to hello@flowproofs.com or use the contact form. Tell us the page and what happened. We usually reply within one working day and, where we can, help you get the task done another way while we fix it.
If you are in the EU and not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the authority that enforces the European Accessibility Act in your country.
