Why FlowProofs exists.

Because the report is never the hard part. The meeting after it is.

The problem I kept seeing

I'm Hiten. I have spent years in data and analytics work: building Power BI dashboards, wrangling SAP exports into something a person could read, and sitting in review meetings where the dashboard went up on the screen and the first question was “why did this number move?”

The dashboard almost never answered that. It showed the number. The reason lived in a workbook, a SQL query or somebody's head. So the answer became a follow-up email, then another version of the deck, and by the time it arrived the next meeting had a new question.

I kept building the same thing by hand to get around it: a page that showed the number, the three numbers it was made of, and which of those had changed. A bridge. A metric tree. Usually in PowerPoint, with values pasted in, out of date by the following week.

FlowProofs is that page, made live.

The page I kept rebuilding by hand: a number, the numbers it is made of, and the arithmetic between them.

What FlowProofs is, and what it is not

It is a canvas for explaining numbers. You put your data in, draw the numbers as shapes, connect them with formulas anyone can read, and share a link the other person can question.

It is not a BI platform. If you need a forty-table data model, row-level security for four hundred users or a governed semantic layer, use Power BI or Tableau. They are good at that and we are not trying to be.

How we operate

Three rules we run on

Every number shows its source.

Click any number on a canvas and you can see the table it reads from and the formula that makes it. If a number cannot show where it came from, it should not be in the meeting.

Viewers never pay.

The person who builds the canvas pays, if anyone does. The CFO, the client and the board open a link for free, on every plan, with no account.

Your data is yours.

It is stored privately under your account, it is never used to train AI models, you can export it, and deleting your account deletes it.
